About Method
An engineering practice built around the drawings council approves and contractors build from.
Method is a civil, traffic and stormwater engineering practice working across Australia, for developers, builders, architects and designers, councils and landowners.

Where Method comes from
Method was started by engineers who had spent years delivering civil, traffic and stormwater design at national and global firms for developers, builders and government. We set the practice up to do the same work with fewer hand-offs: the engineer who scopes a job designs it, deals with the authorities and signs the drawings that go to council.
What Method is known for
Drawings that get through council the first time, and that a contractor can build from without a string of questions. Our engineers have delivered projects across Australia, and are the people clients call when a permit condition, a legal point of discharge or a council request for further information is holding a project up.
How Method works
The engineer who scopes a job stays on it. Constraints are settled before the layout is fixed, the design follows the council's own policies, and every drawing is detailed for the contractor who builds from it.

Engagement terms
Fees by stage, agreed before work starts
Fees are fixed by stage, so the proposal says what each stage costs before it starts.
A commencement fee may be asked for on acceptance of the proposal, for example where an authority submission has to be lodged early. Where it applies, the proposal says so before you accept it.
Send the site address and permit conditions, and say when you need the proposal by.
