Terms of use

Updated 29 Oct 2026

Using this website

These terms apply to everyone who uses this website. By using it you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

General information, not engineering advice

The content on this site is general information about the services Method Engineering offers. It is not engineering advice for any particular site, project or permit, and it is not a substitute for a design prepared for your project. Engineering design, assessment and certification are only provided under a signed fee proposal and the engagement terms that come with it.

Drawings, photographs and illustrations

The drawings, photographs and illustrations on this site show the kind of work Method does. Some are simplified, and some are illustrations made for the site that do not show a real project. None of them is a design for your site, and you should not rely on any of them for construction, pricing or approval.

Intellectual property

The site, its text, drawings, logo and code belong to Method Engineering or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own reference. You may not copy, publish or reuse the drawings or the logo without written permission.

The proposal form

Submitting the proposal form is a request for a fee proposal. It does not engage Method, start any work or create any obligation on either side until a fee proposal is accepted in writing. Files uploaded with a request become part of Method’s records for that enquiry. Keep your own copy.

The site links to other organisations, such as councils and authorities. Those sites are run by others, and Method is not responsible for what they contain.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Method Engineering is not liable for any loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute about them is subject to the courts of Victoria.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the last change, and the version on the site at the time you use it is the one that applies.
